A solicitor types in a client’s name and email. That’s the whole job on the firm’s side. idlí takes it from there: verifying the client’s identity, screening them against sanctions and PEP lists, walking them through source-of-funds questions, and getting the firm’s Section 150 costs notice signed electronically — all inside one flow the client completes from their phone in around five minutes. The firm gets back a single, signed compliance PDF and exports it straight into custom software (/services/custom-software/) like Client365 (https://www.client365.ie), Keyhouse or LEAP, whatever case management system they already run. Several Irish law firms are already using idlí this way, saving several hours of staff time and a lot of back-and-forth every single week.
Type client info, idlí does the rest
A solicitor creates a check with a client’s name and email, ticks AML screening on if the matter needs it, and picks a Section 150 template from the form. There’s nothing to configure and nothing to onboard — that’s the entire task on the firm’s side.
The client gets an email with a link to idlí’s portal and finishes everything from their phone: a photo ID with a liveness check, proof of address, a short set of source-of-funds questions, and the Section 150 signed electronically. No printing, no scanning, no trip to the post office.
Behind that link, idlí verifies the documents and screens the client against sanctions and PEP watchlists. This is where the Section 150 signing happens too — the client signs the firm’s statutory costs notice under the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 in the same sitting as their identity check, and idlí captures who signed, when, from where, and their consent to electronic service as part of the audit trail.
Everything lands back with the firm as one compliance report: identity verified, address confirmed, AML screening cleared, Section 150 signed, full audit trail attached. A firm’s client data belongs to that firm alone — it’s never sold, never shared between firms, and never used for anything beyond that client’s own verification. Delete a client, and their data is deleted with them. Every step is timestamped and recorded, giving each firm a full audit trail to sit behind their own compliance file.
